When it comes to Minnesota weddings, fall is really the time to beat and this weekend was the PEAK! Leaves gently falling from the trees, beautiful sunny weather, and that glowy light is absolutely unbeatable. It provided the perfect backdrop for such a classy and fun wedding at the Machine Shop. Mixing classy with historical character is an all-time great recipe for a gorgeous wedding. Of course Alex and Ian were the best couple on top of it all and were all smiles and laughs all day. It definitely rains on wedding days but almost every time, it turns out to be a gorgeous sunny day. Such was the case on this day and what a day it turned out to be! It's always the best ones that have all the best friends. A real friend tricks you into doing a fake first look when you thought you weren't doing one haha!!! I had to do a bit of acting to help that one get setup. When it came time for the serious matters it was clear that the humor doesn't take away from the impact of the real moments throughout the day. The Brainerd lakes area is a paradise for Minnesotans which makes it the perfect backdrop for the perfect wedding.
